Typical Job Roles at Automation Plastics
Machine Operators
Performs a variety of operations to produce plastic parts
Inspects parts visually for non-conformance prior to packaging and reports to supervisor nonconformance of parts and equipment
Seeks to continuously improve all work processes through teamwork and cooperation
Inspectors
Inspects and verifies parts for conformance to standards at minimum specified frequencies.
Must be able to operate testing and measurement equipment used to perform job, including, but not limited to, calipers, microscopes, vision system, micrometer, go/nogo gages, drop indicator, hydraulic press for cone test and torque wrench.
Knowledge of part quality issues and defects relating to injection molds & mold processing, preferred
Mold Technician
Set up and monitor the operation of molds and the processing of plastic parts to meet customer requirements.
Performs job changeover by removing and storing tool and auxiliary equipment to prepare machine for next production run.
Maintains the continual production flow of parts by assisting operators, supplying shipping containers, mixing materials accurately, weighing and sealing cartons, removing completed skids to warehouse, monitoring and troubleshooting of auxiliary and production equipment
Looking for someone with an associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 1-year minimum related experience.
Process Technician
Setup and monitor the operations of molds and the processing of plastic parts to meet customer requirements.
Performs job change over by removing and storing tools and auxiliary equipment to prepare machines for next production run.
Maintains the continual production flow of parts by assisting operators, supplying shipping containers, mixing materials accurately, weighing and sealing cartons, removing completed skids to warehouse, and monitoring and troubleshooting of equipment.
Prior experience in Injection Molding and Plastics Processing is a plus.
